Recording Accademy voting members, are set to start first round voting, live.
The Accedemy made this known to the public on Octeber Friday, 21st where they put together guidelines to educate voting members on recent updates and details on their voting process.
Greatest showcasing of creativity from the music industry over last year, all reflecting on the GRAMMYs ballot,- they stated.
The Academy plans to reduce challenges, when it comes to voting at GRAMMYs, by which The 64th GRAMMYs upgraded ballot is customized and personalised to suite Academy Voting Members making voting process easier than ever.
Below are changes made to The 64th GRAMMYs voting process:
- 10-3 Ballot: In addition to the General Field, all voters can now select up to 10 categories across up to three fields to cast their votes on the member ballot.
- Personalization: Ballots will only display the fields and categories in which the Voting Members are voting. They will only see what’s relevant to them.
- Search: Voting Members can simply enter the name of an artist or recording in the search field to determine the categories where an artist or recording/work appears on the ballot.
- Flexibility: If Voting Members would like to change the fields and categories in which they are voting, they can modify their ballot at any time. Nothing is locked until their ballot is submitted.
The First Round Voting started on Friday, October 22, which will end on Friday, November 5, 2021, whiles the 64th GRAMMY Awards Nominations will be Announce on Tuesday, November 23, 2021.
Final Round Voting comes off on Monday, December 6, 2021 Wednesday, January 5, 2022.

The Academy Voting Members are also been granted the ability to stream nominated recordings on select streaming services, whiles they cast their votes.

“It is imperative that our Voting Members participate in the GRAMMY Awards process in a fair and ethical manner and only make choices based on artistic and technical merits of the recordings” they stated
