Ghanaian actresss and social media sensational Rosemond Alade Brown, best known in the showbiz cycle as Akuapem Poloo back to jail to continue her 90 day jail sentence.
This was due to an application her Lawyer filed to challenge her 90 days custodial sentence was dismissed by an Accra High Court on Wednesday 1.
According to the the presiding judge, Justice Ruby Aryeetey the sentence was not too excessive to call for an interference.
“The court will only interfere if the sentence is excessive” she add
And also the High Court stated, the decision of the Circuit Court was right, and that the punishment would serve as a deterrent to others.
Meanwhile Poloo’s Lawyer, Andrew Kudzo Vortia has a different view of that, stating that her sentence was “too harsh” because she has just find herself at the wrong side of the law, for the first time and also plead guilty to the charges laid on her.
Speaking on Tosh TV’s program #KEMEGBEADE? With Mama Elikplim, Lawyer Andrew Kudzo Vortia revealed to file for an appeal again on Monday 6th December hoping this time around to get Akuapem Poloo released.
“Monday 6th December at 9.00am I will file an appeal to court, and visit three most respected judges to advise me if am on the right path of filling another appeal, and I hope my second appeal will be granted for Akuapem Polo to be released for the sake of her son“-he said on the show.
Around July last year, Akuapem Poloo was arrested due to wrongfully posting her nude alongside her son as part of his seventh birthday.
But was granted bail in April 2021, after the Accra Circuit Court sentence her to three months imprisonment on an appeal by her lawyer, Andrew Kudzo Vortia.
The High Court directed that the eight-year-old son of the Poloo be handed over to a responsible family member.
