On Air Personalities of the Volta Region has issued out a statement addressing all media houses in the Volta region not to play any of Jah Phinga’s songs, clearing doubts and rumours concerning, musician Woelin Segbefia popularly known as Jah Phinga‘s recent unpleasant statements, disrespect and very recent ungrateful behavior towards DJ Martin Rouny of Sand City 88.9fm.
Per the press release, signed by the President, Seth Dellings Nyasorgbor and PRO Bright Ellis, they categorically stated that,songs and music videos of the reigning VMAs artsite of the year, Jah Phinga due to the high increment of disrespect shown members of the On Air Personalities group in the regin.
According to the OAPs release, his songs and music videos are to be blacklisted on all TV/Radio airways in the Volta Region until he renders an unqualified apology to DJ Martin Rouny of Sand City 88.9fm and to all On Air Personalities in the region.
“This is to send strong warning to all artists that, it is the obligation of the OAPs to air their songs hence the gross disrespect will face equal and or even more measures.” – the statement reads.
They group also states, will any musician in the Volta Region intends to engage them in any form of promotional help should do so in a professional approach, since their effort is not been regarded.

Speaking on the release, the PRO of Volta On Air Personalities, Volta Region Bright Ellis spoke to TOSH TV on their morning show “AGBE NUA GA KE” stating that, OAPs in the region are been devalued by some musicians with various self-entitlements.
He urge musicians to add value to both radio and TV presenters work in order to promote good working relationship among all.
Jah Phinga (born Jonathan Woelin Segbefia) is a reggae and dancehall artist from Ghana. He has recorded over 50 singles and has collaborated with such artists as Shatta Wale, Stonebwoy and DiThree. In 2017, his song ‘One World One People’ was nominated at the 2017 All African Music Awards.
