It’s an end of SNL era for Pete Davidson, Aidy Bryant, Kate McKinnon & Kyle Mooney, not long after it was announced that this cast will be taking their final boughs in the season 47 finale.
Pete K-80 and Kyle all took the stage for their final show on May 21st. Pete Davidson has been on the show for eight years took an emotional walk down memory while chatting with Collin Jost on weekend update, and during his reflection he made references to Kanye West and reflecting to his first years as cast member “I never imagine this will be my life, you know look at me when i started here, like back then I was just like a skinny kid no one knew what race I was, and like now everyone knows am white because i became hugely successful, while barely showing up to work and also aging up like an old banana”.
He aslo joked about host of weekend update Colling age say “Collin still looks like the only Kennedy who does not drink”. and from his usual jokes he also thanks Lorne Michaels for always giving the best advice….
“I’ll never forget this, when i got engaged I called him and said Lorne I just got engaged to Ariana Grande after dating for two weeks, and he said oh hold on for dear life.”
He aslo thank the show for always having his back, “allowing me to work on myself and grow over the last eight seasons.
Before the SNL star sign ed off, he gave Lorne another heartfelt thanks saying “Thank you to Lorne for never giving up on me, or you know judging me even when everyone else was and for beleiving and allowing to a place i can call home, with the memories that’ll last a lifetime so thank you guys.”
