The community is mourning the death of Tik Tok star, Cooper Noriega.
He was 19-years old, and all pertaining his death; the tiktokker’s body was found, after a Samaritan called emergency services after finding the influencer unconscious inside a car parked in a Burbank parking lot on Thursday evening at Los Angeles, according to TMZ.
According to the Los Angeles county department medical-coroner told ET that, Cooper was pronounced dead at the scene and the cause of death has not been determined, and added they didn’t suspect foul play at this time.
Hours before Cooper’s death, he posted an eerie TikTok video about dying young, lying in bed with the caption
“who else b thinking they gon die young af.”
The 19-years-old tiktokker has nearly 2 million followers on TikTok and widely known for uploading lip syncs, modelling clips and dance collabs often including good friends like Jayden Hostler and Nessa Barron.
Mental health also came up a lot feed, where he discussed battling mental illness and substance abuse with his followers.
“I started like doing drugs at 12 vaping and I started smoking at 13 and stuffs and 14 when it really bad with prescriptions and at 15 I had an overdose and got sent away to wilderness therapy.” – he said back in March opening up on the Good Boys podcast.
He added on the Good Boys podcast he once found himself in a state of self-consciousness and have to stop doing drugs.
“At 18,I had this crazy week of bunch drugs and I just had this moment of clarity where I was like it’s really not worth it anymore, I have been doing this for like years now, and it was so bad that, honestly I just fully went cold turkey and stopped everything.”
Cooper explained why he was proud to share his struggles in YouTube video. “I posted like videos about my drug addiction and everything that I struggle with, and I got lot of dm saying thank you so much, you helped me tremendously and am so glad that you’re vocal about this topic, and its amazing.”
Ahead of his passing, the young star announced on Instagram on June 4 that he was starting a Discord page “for mental health strictly.”
“I’ve been struggling with addiction since I was 9 years old, you may think that’s crazy but that’s the life I’ve been dealt,” he wrote in the emotional post. “I would like to use the influence I’ve been given to create a space built on spreading awareness and normalizing talking about mental illness.
Meanwhile, Barstool’s BFFs mourned the star’s passing on Twitter. “Devastating news. RIP Cooper Noriega,” they wrote. “Life is fragile. Enjoy every minute.”Instagram / Cooper Noriega.
Fellow TikTok star Max Dressler also paid tribute to the fallen star, writing, “coop man :(.”
