“Have you ever wanted to be noticed so badly, you didn’t even care what it was for?”
Well in this movie the need for social media fame proves disastrous when, Zoey Deutch who plays Danni Sanders, “an aimless aspiring writer with no friends, no romantic prospects what so ever and — worst of all — no followers,” went on to fake an “Instagram-friendly trip to Paris” hoping to gain social media attention and popularity.
A terrifying incident takes place in the real world, which becomes a part of the imaginary trip and offers all she wants. Danni Sanders, ends up in steaming hot water when a truly terrible occasion occurs in Paris during the time she was purportedly there.
To keep up with her recently discovered popularity, Danni should stay aware of the falsehood, yet with drop culture being something predominant the untruth could reach a conclusion sooner than Danni would need.
She “returns” a legend, in any event, starting up an impossible relationship with Rowan (Mia Isaac), a school-shooting survivor devoted to cultural change, and gathering up the man of her fantasies Colin (Dylan O’Brien).
As a force to be reckoned with and advocate, Danni at long last has the life and crowd she generally cared about. Yet, it’s inevitable before the veneer breaks, and she learns the most difficult way possible that the Internet cherishes a takedown.
