Gentleman, a legendary reggae-dancehall artist from Germany, has scheduled the release of his debut studio album for December 2, 2022. Before the album’s due date was moved up a month, he announced in a post on his verified Instagram page on September 8th that fans could pre-order it. He also stated that the album would be released on Friday, November 18, 2022.

Late yesterday, the reggae-dancehall singer posted a tracklist to the “Mad World” album to Instagram along with the disappointing news but on a good note that the album’s due date has been moved up from the original release date of November 18, 2022 to December 2, 2022 because there was a stuck up in the  flow of the “Mad World” vinyl.

He wrote “The writing process for this one was extra special, and I’m gonna tell you more about it soon. Sadly due to delivery problems regarding the vinyl, we have to to push the release to December 2nd.”

However, the Legend assures fans that he intends to keep them entertained from now until the release of the “Mad World” album on December 2nd, as he has a slew of cool things in the works for them, which will help to shorten the wait.

Speaking about the album’s creative process, Gentleman says that the world was becoming insane after the covid- 19 pandemic, and he imagined that everything would be post-pandemic joy and laughter, but that wasn’t the case; instead, the world was hit by various forms of breakout and pandemic, referencing the Russia-Ukraine war and commodities price hikes, and he had a thought of taking a break and breathing again from all of this. So he took a break and traveled to the mountains of Mallorca with his team, renting a finca and establishing a studio, which resulted in the project ‘Mad World.’

“I want to thank all of you for your support, love and feedback, We’re all experiencing strange and weird times currently – My initially feeling after the pandemic was that there will be an explosion of joy and everything will be irie again,” And then war broke out, inflation happened, energy crisis the refugee tragedies and the struggle of resources, And I had the feeling to breathe again and reflect” he said in a video posted on Instagram page.

The singer also reflected on how contradictory the album will be in making such a “positive vibes” music album during this time of division and, of course, negativity, and stated that he had a voice that told him music is a universal language and has the power to make hard times more bearable and adaptable, and that’s what his album is meant to do even in the smallest way possible.

“The question came up, if it is not totally contrary to make such a “positive vibes” album during these times?, But on the other hand there was a voice that said: wait a minute – if the love, and the cohesion and the optimism is not there anymore, then we can just close up everything.

And I believe that if there is a universal language, it is music, – and music definitely has the power to make hard times more bearable, and music can give hope, and if my album can contribute a small piece of that then I have already achieved a big goal.”

The upcoming reggae-dancehall album “Mad World” already has three songs with visuals released, starting with track 2 on the tracklist, “Over Hills,” which was premiered on June 23, 2022 on YouTube and currently has over 352,483 views.

Next, move on to track 5 on the album, “Things will be greater,” which was also premiered on YouTube July 21, 2022, and bagged a views of 220,672; finally, and it has been a month since the third release and the fourth track “Can’t Lock The Dance,” a collaboration with African reggae-dancehall and Afropop giant Stonebwoy that surprised everyone and is currently clocking 198,249 views on Youtube.
