Charlotte Crosby has been talking openly about how her recent loss of her nana has affected her.
The beloved nana of the former Geordie Shore star, Alba Jean, passed away, the former Geordie Shore star revealed last Thursday night, November 17. Tragically, she passed away only a month after Charlotte gave birth to her first child. The loss is made even more tragic because Charlotte named her newborn daughter Alba in her honor.
The 32-year-old has spoken openly to her 8.3M Instagram followers about the grief she is going through since the death of her nana. Charlotte shared on her Instagram stories this afternoon how the arrival of Alba has been assisting her in getting through this difficult time.
“Honestly this little girl has been our shining light through everything!”, the new mother gushed in her caption, which was accompanied by a boomerang video of little Alba sleeping soundly in her pram.
“My Alba you are just so perfect in every way. I owe you so much for getting us through this heartbreak!”, she praised her little one.
Charlotte continued by expressing gratitude to her supporters for their recent well wishes and condolence messages. “I’ve caught a lot of the beginning of your messages and you all say the same your little girl will get you through this! And your all completely and utterly right!!” she penned. “THANKYOU again for all the messages!”
Charlotte went on to explain how she is dealing with her newfound grief. “I’m throwing myself into staying busy to try and distract myself. But the hours that go by where I haven’t thought about the loss I then start to feel guilty,” she admitted candidly. “Is this normal?!”
“I’ve never lost anyone so close to my heart or experienced this level of grief before,” she concluded honestly.
