Many Ghanaians and ravegoers flocked to the Accra Sports Stadium for the event, which was scheduled to take place on December 10, 2022, to watch their idol perform.
The audience was irate and angry as they waited impatiently for Wizkid to take the stage since 4 p.m. the day before. They either demanded a refund or insisted on seeing the “Starboy” perform before leaving.
A number of performances by artists like Gyakie, Efya, Darkovibes, and others were seen, but not the man of the hour. Darko Vibes received accolades from some of the fans despite the Nigerian star’s absence since he saved the day.
Fans expected WizKid yesterday to do the same feat on a grander scale after he successfully pulled off a sold-out performance inside New York’s Madison Square Garden. It was meant to be his first-ever headline concert in the nation’s capital, Accra, this December.
