Golden Globe nominations for 2023 have been made public.

Avatar: The Way of Water, Elvis, The Fabelmans, Tár, and Top Gun: Maverick are the top movies in the Best Drama category. Triangle of Sadness, The Banshees of Inisherin, Everything Everywhere All at Once, Glass Onion, and Babylon are in the lead for Best Musical or Comedy.

The whole list of nominations is listed below, but before we get into the details, let’s go through the important talking points: Banshees, wail, wail: The Banshees of Inisherin, a fantastic tragi-comedy by Martin McDonagh, is currently the front-runner.

Best Picture – Drama or Comedy, Best Director, Screenplay, Leading Actor in a Comedy or Musical (Colin Farrell), Supporting Actress (Kerry Condon), twice for Best Supporting Actor (Brendan Gleeson and Barry Keoghan), and Best Score are among the eight nominations.

Following closely behind with six nominations each is Everything Everywhere All At Once, followed by Babylon and The Fabelmans with five each.b As much as it would be foolish to bet against Spielberg and his beautifully produced but depressingly saccharine autobiographical drama The Fabelmans, here’s hoping that the award goes to a more deserving movie. Fingers crossed for Everything Everywhere All At Once, which deserves every award it receives.
