Chris Rock Finally Hits Back At Will Smith In First-Ever Live Netflix Special ‘Selective Outrage’

The father of two didn’t seem to have any remote about the joke he made at last year’s Academy Awards about Pinkett-Smith sporting a buzzcut hairstyle.

The comic didn’t hold back as he addressed the infamous viral moment in his Netflix special, “Selective Outrage,” on Saturday night, almost a year to the day after Will Smith slapped Chris Rock at the Oscars.

Rock, who made history by becoming the first performer to deliver a live stand-up comedy special on the service, delivered funny material without falling flat, leaving the best for last. Rock attacked Smith and his wife Jada Pinkett-Smith for the final five minutes of the show by bringing up her relationship with August Alsina, which the pair later discussed in the public on an episode of “Red Table Talk.

“Will Smith practices selective outrage,” the “Death at a Funeral” star said.  “Everybody that really knows I had nothing to do with that s—. I didn’t have any ‘entanglements.’”

As we previously mentioned, Pinkett-Smith came forward in July 2020 and revealed that she had dated Alsina in the past, allegedly when she and Smith were experiencing marital problems. But Rock was nowhere near done with his line-up of jokes aimed at the couple, as he continued, “We all been cheated on.

Everybody in this industry has been cheated on. None of us have ever been interviewed by the person that cheated on us on television. None of us. … Why the f— would you do that s—? She hurt him way more than he hurt me, okay?”

Rock also talked about getting slapped during the live awards show, saying Smith only chose to target him because he knew Rock couldn’t defeat him in a fight. “Everybody. And who’s he hit? Me, a n—- he knows he can beat. That is some bitch-ass s—,” he told the crowd.

The father of two didn’t seem to have any remote about the joke he made at last year’s Academy Awards about Pinkett-Smith sporting a buzzcut hairstyle.  “I did some jokes about her. Who gives a f—? That’s how it is: She starts it, I finish it,” he stressed. “That’s what the f— happened. Nobody’s pickin’ on this b**ch. She started this s—. Nobody was pickin’ on her.”
